Openserve has warned that it will shut down its ADSL offering in the following areas from 1 September 2020.

In a letter sent to ISP’s Openserve stated  “… we will therefore also be discontinuing all existing DSL and Openserve Copper Connect (OCC) services in these areas.”

It confirmed that any ADSL and copper customers in the affected areas would be disconnected from 1 September 2020 onwards. This will leave thousands of South African businesses and homes without Internet connectivity and phone lines.

According to the communication the following areas will be impacted by the Openserve announcement.

Gauteng
Vaal
North West
Alberton
Bedfordview
Boksburg
Brakpan
Centurion
Edenvale
Johannesburg
Nigel
Vanderbijlpark
Vereeniging
Meyerton
Rustenburg
