Which areas does Screamer cover?
Screamer installs in most areas of Gauteng, including Pretoria, Centurion, Johannesburg, Midrand, the East and West Rand and the Vaal Triangle, and in outlying areas such as Rustenburg, Klerksdorp and Bela-Bela. If our wireless network can't reach your home, we can usually connect you with uncapped LTE on the Telkom network. The quickest way to check your address is to send it to us on WhatsApp.
Is Screamer's internet really uncapped?
Yes. Our home plans have no data caps, so you can stream, game and work without running out of data. Our wireless WiFi also has no throttling and no fair use policy.
What's the difference between home WiFi, fibre and LTE?
Fibre runs over a fibre-optic cable to your home and gives the highest speeds where it's available. Our home WiFi is fixed wireless: we install a small antenna that connects to our nearest tower, which is ideal where fibre isn't available. LTE uses a plug-and-play router on the cellular network, so it's quick to set up and portable.
How long does installation take?
Most installations are completed within 3 to 5 working days. Fibre can take a little longer, depending on the fibre network operator in your area. Business installations are scheduled after a site survey.
Do you offer month-to-month plans?
Yes. Our home WiFi, fibre and LTE deals are month-to-month, with no long-term contract.
Can I keep my business phone number if I move to Screamer VoIP?
Yes. We port geographic and non-geographic numbers, and offer SIP trunks or a cloud PBX with call recording and Microsoft Teams integration.
Do you provide static IP addresses?
Yes, on business services. Home plans use a shared IP (CGNAT) by default. Contact us if you need a static IP at home.
